LHU Youth commemorate 78 years of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day by honoring Veterans and Martyrs

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Vietnam's War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), Lac Hong University (LHU) organized a series of profound gratitude, remembrance, commemorative and community-based activities aimed at honoring national heroes and instilling social responsibility in the younger generation. These initiatives reflected the institution's long-term commitment to sustainable development and inclusive education aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    Small Actions, Significant Impact

Under the poignant message "When drinking water, remember its source" (Uống nước nhớ nguồn), the Office of Youth Union – Student Association of Lac Hong University collaborated with local authorities to implement a series of meaningful activities in Tan An commune and Tran Bien ward.

As part of the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign, LHU students visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in Tan An, where the team was stationed. They also organized a candle-lit ceremony at the communal Martyrs' Memorial, serving as a powerful experiential learning activity fostering historical consciousness and moral education among students.

The university’s youth also paid tribute to war veterans and policy families across the province through symbolic gift-giving and storytelling sessions, connecting the present generation to the nation’s resilient past. This directly educates students about the profound sacrifices made by previous generations and reinforces their responsibility to preserve and promote revolutionary traditions.

Lac Hong University Youth held a candle-lighting ceremony in tribute at the communal Martyrs' Memorial.

In Tran Bien Ward, the “Warm Meal of Gratitude” program brought students together with local war heroes who contributed to the nation's independence, in an intimate and emotional setting . “The presence of these young people is not just a visit; it’s a continuation of patriotic tradition,” shared a former volunteer soldier during the meal.
