MoU signing ceremony between LHU and LMCEEA

On June 3, 2024, LHU signed a cooperation agreement with the Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Alliance (LMCEEA) to launch the Vietnam Liaison Base and the Vietnam Research Base under the Lancang-Mekong Research Institute of Wenzhou University of Technology (WZUT).

Attending the ceremony, from WZUT and LMCEEA were Mr. Zhou Wenlong - Rector of WZUT and President of LMCEEA; Mr. Zhou Ziyuan – Deputy Dean of Faculty of Literature and Communication; Mr. Wang Dajiang - Deputy Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Secretary General of LMCEEA; Mr. Li Xiaojuan – Deputy Director of Institute of Continuing Education; Mr. Li Qiong – Head of General Department of International Cooperation and Exchange; four Deputy Secretaries-General of LMCEEA including He Lei, Gao Kehua, Shen Jiawei, Liu Xiufeng; and Ni Cheng – LMCEEA's Secretariat.

The launch of Vietnam Liaison Base under the LMCEEA

LMCEEA, established by a number of universities in 6 countries: China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam aims to promote the entrepreneurship spirit among young people in Lancang-Mekong Countries. This is an operating mechanism in the field of entrepreneurial education. Its members will jointly build an academic exchange platform, visit to share experience, build entrepreneurial education programs,... This is a mutually beneficial cooperation mechanism via multi-stakeholder cooperation to build a high-quality startup cooperation forum for youths of the Mekong River countries. The Alliance also strengthens collaborative projects on social entrepreneurship and poverty reduction as well as fosters the sustainable development of regional countries.

WZUT, a public higher education institution established by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Committee, Zhejiang province was selected as a pilot site in the field of application construction. The University has won many prestigious titles such as: National Experimental Area for Innovative Entrepreneurship Education Talent Training Model, National Creative Space, Provincial Green University, Outstanding University for Entrepreneurship, Provincial Outstanding Institution for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Provincial Pilot Startup Incubator, and Provincial Typical Unit for Water Saving,... It is also one of the best universities for entrepreneurship education in Zhejiang province.

The launch of Vietnam Research Base under the WZUT's Lancang-Mekong Research Institute

Within the framework of cooperation between WZUT and LHU, LHU has joined the LMCEEA since 2023. The launch of the Research Base helps deepen cooperation in research and teaching related to entrepreneurship education. Thanks to this establishment, cooperation and exchange in scientific research, research projects in innovation and entrepreneurship will be increasingly promoted. Short-term and long-term programs for lecturers and students in entrepreneurship will also be implemented in the near future.

After this event, LHU will bring more practical start-up programs and community services to its lecturers and students and provide more development opportunities for students as well.
